The Third Annual 9/11 Firehouse Foundation Concert will honor and celebrate the heroes and victims of 9/11, while raising funds for widows and orphans, as well as safety equipment for local fire departments.
The event will be hosted on Saturday, September 12 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Firehouse Brewing Company located in Mission Valley. Last year, more than a thousand people came out for live music, food and great beer, and building on the success of the inaugural event, this year promises to be an even bigger hit!
“It’s easy to forget about the past and carry on with our daily routines, but it’s so important to remember that this wouldn’t be possible without those who made the ultimate sacrifice,” says Firehouse Brewing Company Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jennifer Finch. “We made a promise to remember the heroes from 9/11, and the Firehouse Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to keep that promise and protect our firefighters and their families.”
Guests of the 9/11 Firehouse Foundation Concert will enjoy a series of San Diego's hottest bands, a variety of dishes served by some of finest establishments, a full scale beer garden provided by The Firehouse Brewing Company and a raffle showcasing numerous prizes.
This year’s band line-up includes Lexington Field, Intransit Audio, Phil Bellanti and Rare Form Live. Our participating restaurants this year include Sammy’s Pizza, King’s Fish House, McGregor’s Bar & Grill, Firehouse American Eatery and El Comal.
Raffle prizes include tickets for two to The Killers Concert by Def Jam Records, a hotel package with breakfast for two and a couples message at Kin Spa (complimentary of Manchester Hyatt), a 45-minute plane ride over downtown’s beautiful sunset, dinner for two on the harbor, a 24 Hour Fitness membership and much more!
The Firehouse Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that benefits from a portion of the proceeds from The Firehouse Brewing Company. Founded by third-generation firefighters inspired by the tragic events of 9/11, proceeds go to support firefighter widow and orphan funds and to local fire departments to help buy safety equipment. These funds assist the families of firefighters who have died or been seriously injured in the line of duty.
Tickets are $20 pre event and $30 at the door.
